Valerie Trotman and her family’s tremendous $20 million gift is the largest in BID Needham’s history and will serve as the foundation for the hospital’s ambitious Transforming Health Care Here campaign, which seeks to address the growing demand for care in the community.

Building and maintaining a high level of expertise and commitment among our employees is central to the hospital’s mission and ongoing success. Thanks to an array of donor-funded initiatives, BID Needham is finding new and innovative ways to recruit and retain staff.

Donors Michael Lombard and Valerie Trotman spearheaded a vital effort to bring about a new Emergency Department at BID Needham, which will further allow the hospital to support patients and families with outstanding, locally accessible healthcare.

Michael Lombard recognizes that staff are essential to the hospital, now more than ever. That’s why he leveraged his gift of $125,000 to encourage and challenge other community members to support their local hospital.

As part of BID Needham’s continuous efforts to offer state-of-the-art medical care in the community, it has established the Dr. Eyre Endowment Fund for the Division of Urology.

Valerie Trotman and her family donate $4.3 million, the largest gift in the hospital’s history, to expand two essential services to meet the needs of complex patients throughout the hospital.
