Often referred to as the front door to the hospital, the ED and its staff are vital to the entire hospital ecosystem, ensuring access to expert, compassionate care every day. That is why the Growing Stronger Together campaign, a three-phase initiative to enhance and expand the ED, has resonated so strongly and gained remarkable momentum across our community.
Chuck Hewitt and his family have created a legacy spanning generations in their incredible support of BID Plymouth. Three generations have made meaningful contributions to the hospital, all inspired by their philosophy surrounding supporting institutions that bolster the community.
BID Plymouth is expanding critical cardiac care services, including cardiac rehabilitation and advanced cardiac imaging. Generous donors have enabled the hospital to provide essential treatments locally, allowing the aging community to avoid traveling to Boston for care.
BID Plymouth recently opened the brand‐new, twenty‐five bed Clinical Decision Unit. One local family stepped up and made the lead gift to support this new unit, which will expedite high‐quality care. With generous support from the community at large, the hospital’s innovative response to meeting the continually growing demand for emergency services will further enhance care and experiences for patients, families, and staff.
BID Plymouth’s recent affiliation with the New England Baptist Orthopedics Program, together with its plans for a new state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center, build upon the hospital’s reputation for excellent orthopedic services.
Through the generosity of the Jordan Hospital Club and Plymouth Community Charitable Foundation, patients will receive comprehensive care in the spacious new Beth Israel Lahey Health Breast Center – Plymouth.

For years, BID Plymouth has been there for the community in the face of extraordinary challenges. Now, the hospital is asking the community for support as it expands and renovates its emergency department to accommodate more growth.
