Always attuned to where philanthropy can make the greatest impact, Jeff and Julie Parker are loyal supporters of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. Most recently, the couple made an estate gift of $1 million, continuing their legacy with an organization they admire for its skilled, efficient, and highly personalized care.
The new Lahey Hospital & Medical Center on-site helideck has decreased the time from arrival to care since its opening, thanks to donors’ generous support. Married for more than 70 years, the late Theodore “Ted” Petczo and Susanna “Sue” (DeCola) Petczo together demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community and Lahey Hospital & Medical Center with a planned gift to the hospital’s Greatest Needs Fund.
For Dr. Laura Sowerby, a generous, anonymous gift made in her honor was incredibly humbling. “Treating patients is very rewarding for me,” says Sowerby. “It is our mission at Lahey to provide the highest level of care. Through his gift, the patient is enabling us to grow in that mission, and I couldn’t be more grateful,” she says.

With a transformational $10 million gift, the family of Jean Cunningham has established the Jean Cunningham Department of Nursing and provided essential resources to support continuing education programs for Lahey nurses.
