A generous gift is helping Joslin train primary care providers in advanced diabetes management, increasing access to expert, high-quality care across communities.

Dianne Nunnally Hoppes’s family continues her legacy of giving through their support of George King, MD, Chief Scientific Officer of Joslin, whose lab bears Dianne’s name. The family’s recent $2.5 million gift will enable King to explore promising new methods of treatment and prevention for diabetes and its complications.  

Meet Casey, who has lived with type 1 diabetes since she was four years old and is now running the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on behalf of Joslin.

In February, TJ Maxx continued its generous, longstanding support of Joslin through a special in-store fundraising campaign that directly benefits Joslin’s clinical, educational, and research efforts, bringing us closer to a world without diabetes.

The team at Joslin Diabetes Center understands that a diabetes diagnosis is a life-changing event for both children and their families, and they are there every step of the way, helping patients lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

The Asian American Diabetes Initiative, pioneered by Joslin and its supportive community members, strives to enhance quality of life and health outcomes for Asian Americans living with diabetes, and its prevention through research, education, outreach, and culturally responsive treatment.
