Growing Stronger Together
Over the past several years, BID Plymouth has experienced extraordinary growth, with a 60% increase in emergency visits relative to the capacity for which the Emergency Department (ED) was built. Not only are we treating more individuals, but they are higher-acuity patients requiring more complex care. Our goal is to expand our ED to accommodate our growing patient population and provide our staff with the resources they need to provide the best care. An innovative and comprehensive ED expansion effort is well underway with 25 new observation beds to be completed by December 2023.
