Meet Casey
Casey was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the young age of four. For 22 years, this relentless disease has demanded constant vigilance—24/7/365, every single day, without a break or day off. T1D involves the whole family, requiring around-the-clock monitoring and unwavering support.
Casey refused to let diabetes define her. With the support of Joslin, she moved forward—not by limiting her life, but by expanding it. Today, Casey is an athlete, an adventurer, and a marathon runner. She has competed on rowing teams, skydived, hiked Spain’s historic El Camino, and completed two marathons. Now, she’s preparing to take on another marathon in April to support Joslin.
Casey’s commitment extends beyond her own journey. By participating in clinical trials, she is helping advance research and move us closer to a future where better treatments and a cure are possible.
We invite you to learn more about Casey and support her as she runs the 130th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on behalf of Joslin!
