Historic Gift Impacts Cardiology Care

Addison Gilbert Hospital’s largest philanthropic gift of the last two centuries arrived in a simple white envelope, hand delivered by the donor. The gift—more than $1.3M—will support expanding critically needed cardiology services for Cape Ann families.

Generous Donations Increase Capacity for Specialized Elder Care

The Senior Adult Unit (SAU) on the second floor of Addison Gilbert Hospital has been transformed, thanks to the generosity of the Cape Ann community. The renovation and expansion of the unit nearly doubles our capacity, allowing us to provide specialized medical and behavioral health care to elderly patients.

State-Of-The-Art Pharmacy Opens

Gloucester is now home to a state-of-the-art hospital pharmacy, thanks to the passionate, deep-rooted commitment of the Cape Ann community. Located at Addison Gilbert Hospital (AGH), the pharmacy is dedicated in honor of long-time AGH vice president and Gloucester native, Cynthia (Cindy) Cafasso Donaldson, RPh, in recognition of her outstanding leadership and many contributions to the hospital, the system, and especially, to the community.

Meet Bruce Nardella, Chair, Board of Trustees

Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals have named Bruce Nardella as Chair of the Board of Trustees. A thoughtful and informed leader who has supported the hospitals for more than 25 years, Bruce has a background in helping people gain access to healthcare.

Generations of Care

The team at Beverly Hospital is thrilled to have received a gift of $465,000 from the Evelyn Lilly Lutz Foundation to support recruitment and retention for key roles.

Community Investment

Philanthropist Linzee Coolidge’s most recent gift is toward the purchase of a new CT scanner that will expedite turnaround times, increase the number of patients served, and improve outcomes.

Improving Access

Last year, Beverly Hospital opened its newly expanded Behavioral Health Pod in the Emergency Department. The 10-bed unit provides a more spacious, therapeutic environment where patients can be evaluated and await a transfer to an in-patient psychiatric unit or other specialized care facility, if needed.
