Unrestricted support is more vital to our mission than ever before. Across the region, costs associated with providing care have surged while reimbursements have lagged, further compressing our already narrow margins. At BIDMC we continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, innovation, and leadership in driving progress. We are not just responding to these challenges; we are redefining the future of patient care through strategic adaptation and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How it Works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Throughout the year we will ask all members of the Board community to participate with an annual, unrestricted gift to the Board Annual Fund, your program of choice, or both.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We strive for 100% participation and will report out on key metrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will share meaningful reports on how Board Annual Fund dollars are invested each year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 26%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fiscal Year 2026<\/strong><br><br>Building on the momentum of the past two years, <strong>we aim to raise $1.75 million<\/strong> through the Board Annual Fund. As of today, we have secured <strong>$1.1 million toward this goal<\/strong>. These investments will accelerate impact where it matters most, at the bench and the bedside, by expanding precision diagnostics in Pathology, advancing critical equipment upgrades, and recruiting top-tier physicians, scientists, and laboratory professionals. These flexible funds have enabled BIDMC\u2019s Department of Pathology to invest in&nbsp;state-of-the-art&nbsp;equipment\u2014including ultra-fast molecular diagnostic platforms, advanced flow cytometers, and&nbsp;cutting-edge&nbsp;chemistry analyzers\u2014that dramatically improve diagnostic speed, accuracy, and capacity. They have also supported preparations for our largest institutional collaboration ever, the Dana-Farber Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Collaboration, including key investments in faculty development and recruitment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fiscal Year 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In fiscal year 2024 we raised $1.2 million which supported key programmatic and capital initiatives including launching the BILH Heart Transplant Program; building-out the New England Donor Services Donor Care Center at BIDMC which specializes in enhancing organ donor management, increasing the number of transplantable organs for the entire region; and continuing our other campus transformation efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board Annual Fund Program is BIDMC\u2019s annual campaign to raise unrestricted support from members of our Board community.
