The Board Annual Fund Program is BIDMC’s annual campaign to raise unrestricted support from members of our Board community. Unrestricted support is more vital to our mission than ever before. Across the region, costs associated with providing care have surged while reimbursements have lagged, further compressing our already narrow margins. At BIDMC we continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, innovation, and leadership in driving progress. We are not just responding to these challenges; we are redefining the future of patient care through strategic adaptation and growth.
How it Works
- Throughout the year we will ask all members of the Board community to participate with an annual, unrestricted gift to the Board Annual Fund, your program of choice, or both.
- We strive for 100% participation and will report out on key metrics.
- We will share meaningful reports on how Board Annual Fund dollars are invested each year.
Fiscal-Year 2025
Our goal is to raise $1.4 million through the Board Annual Fund in fiscal-year 2025. As of December 31, we have raised $816,000 toward our goal—nearly $300,000 more than we achieved at this time last year!
Your support will enable us to expand our research capabilities, drive programmatic growth, and attract top-tier talent to our team. This includes preparations for our largest institutional collaboration ever, the Dana-Farber Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Collaboration. It also includes key investments in faculty development and recruitment, our Institutional Strategic Plan for Innovation, Research and Education (InSPIRE), and improving the spaces where we provide clinical care.
We look forward to updating you on our progress toward this ambitious goal, and overall fundraising success.
Fiscal-Year 2024
In fiscal-year 2024 we raised $1.2 million which supported key programmatic and capital initiatives including launching the BILH Heart Transplant Program; building-out the New England Donor Services Donor Care Center at BIDMC which specializes in enhancing organ donor management, increasing the number of transplantable organs for the entire region; and continuing our other campus transformation efforts.
